TWINKLE
Unfolding memories.
”Unfolding memories into light.“
I’ve walked through some darker days, and I’m learning to live in the light again. Through the vibrant flow of colored inks and layers of crayon, I let the little sparks inside me keep flickering through my work.
Whether they are dreams of a beautiful life or the simple joys right before our eyes, they are the little stars of our world. Whether we are climbing to greater heights or walking through deep valleys, the stars are always there—twinkling softly, filling the deep blue of the night and brightening the clear skies of day.
When small lights gather together and walk alongside one another, they become like the celestial river.

🎨 The Soul’s Landscape: art and Healing
Hi, I’m Liang-Jin Chen, a colored ink artist and illustration-based creator from Taipei.
Somewhere along the way, there was a spectrum of myself that seemed to disappear. Through making art, I’ve slowly learned to understand my own thoughts and other people’s feelings—filling in the blanks, discovering, and finding my way back to wonder.
I mainly work with vibrant, highly fluid inks. To me, water is a color in itself.
Even with many colors layered together, my paintings remain clear, bright, and full of light. The delicate patterns created by the movement of water take hours of waiting to form. As the water gradually dries, beautiful textures emerge, as if they were holding time still and preserving a fleeting moment of movement.
What lights up my world
Wildflowers in the fields, butterflies in flight, the glow of a forest sunset, and the sun, moon, and stars. My childhood dolls, birds on my balcony, the warmth of my mother’s hands, every moment of being met with gentleness.
I’m not quite as gentle as these words might make me seem. Certain experiences taught me to fold parts of myself away, but they never truly disappeared. When I find a space that feels open, at ease, and able to hold my imperfections, I draw back the curtains and let the sunlight fall upon the self that has slowly unfolded.
For now.
